Solar Shrink began with a simple question: why should reducing plastic in agriculture mean giving up performance? The answer was a patented film that is thinner, tougher and tighter — and that's now used by growers across four continents.

Our story

Invented in Australia, proven worldwide

Solar Shrink was invented in Australia in 2014 and brought to the United States market in 2020. It is owned and developed by Solar Shrink® Pty Ltd, built on a patented manufacturing process that physically modifies the molecular structure of mulch film.

Rather than simply down-gauging film and trading away strength, Solar Shrink uses engineering to deliver conventional performance with substantially less plastic — and a sheet that lifts clean at season end for recycling.
